The narrative/script for the book is derived from the 3rd volume of the comic, Amar Chitra Katha, Chapter 34 : The Slaying of Abhimanyu.

The book revolves around Mahabharat’s most important event, the Chakravyuh. The Mahabharat is an ancient Indian epic that narrates the legendary battle fought between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, along with the teachings of Lord Krishna. It is the longest and the most significant literary works in the world. Chakravyuh was a complex military formation in the Mahabharata characterized by concentric circles of troops in which “Abhimanyu” - the son of Pandava Arjuna was trapped.
