What
A speculative project to design a sustainable packaging solution for a product from the Bombay Shaving Company, an Indian men’s grooming brand.
The design outcome : Riyaaz — a compact, reusable, bamboo-based packaging system for a 3-step men’s skincare routine.

Why
The Bombay Shaving Company’s current packaging relies heavily on plastic and metal, which lacks sustainability. Riyaaz was created to offer an eco-friendly alternative that feels modern, aspirational, and aligned with the brand’s young, design-conscious audience (ages 18–35).
The project aims to redefine men’s skincare packaging, making it sustainable and aesthetically engaging.

How
Riyaaz is made using bamboo, a natural, sustainable material. It includes three stackable circular boxes, each holding one skincare product : Facial Scrub, Facial Pack, and Facial Cream. The design blends simplicity and functionality with a bold and modern colour palette, challenging the stereotypical dark, dull tones of men’s grooming products. The name "Riyaaz" (Urdu for “practice”) reflects the ritual of daily self-care.

LogoThe negative space between the letters “I” and “Y” in the logo, forms the silhouette of a man’s face, subtly representing the male persona.
